Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan were all set to battle at the BO with their films set to release on January 26 next year. Raees and Kaabil were releasing on the same day and none of the filmmakers were ready to postpone the release to cash in on the long weekend. However, due to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) diktat threatening Pakistani artistes to leave India, this could change.
According to an insider Shah Rukh, along with the makers of his next, is considering shifting the release date of his film. And the clash with Hrithik’s movie is not the only reason for it, the bigger cause being the presence of Pakistani actor Mahira Khan in the film.
He also added that the makers want to push the release date to avoid double losses. Also, they can’t afford to have the movie boycotted at the last moment due to the current tension between India and Pakistan.
