Baaghi – The film which features Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles, was made with a budget of approx. Rs.35  Crore and collected an amount of Rs.125 Crore at the box-office. If we calculate their profit percentage, then it turned out be a 257%. In other words, this film was a blockbuster which earned a profit of 257%.

Rustom – The film, which features Akshay Kumar, Ileana D’Cruz, Arjan Bajwa and Esha Gupta in the lead roles was made with a budget of Rs.50 Crore and collected an amount of Rs.216 Crore at the box-office. Their profit percentage is about 332%, making the film to be the 5th most profitable movie of the 2016.
Pink – The movie, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Angad Bedi in the lead roles was made with a budget of Rs. 23 Crore and collected an amount of Rs. 107 Crore approx. from the box-office. Their profit percentage is about 365%, which makes the movie 4th highest profitable movie in 2016.

Neerja – The film turned out to be the most powerful film by actress Sonam Kapoor till date, was made with a budget of Rs. 20 Crore. The film collected an amount of Rs. 135 Crore from the box-office, therefore the profit percentage of this film is about 575%.
Airlift – Another film which stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role was made with a budget of Rs.30 Crore and collected an amount of approx. Rs.230 Crore from the box-office. Therefore, its profit percentage is about 667%, which makes it the 2nd movie on this list. 

Sultan – The film which stars Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles was the highest grossing film ever, which was made with a budget of Rs.70 Crore and collected an amount of Rs. 584 Crore at the box-office. Therefore, the profit percentage of this film was about 734%, which makes it the most profitable movie of 2016.
