The perception in Tollywood is that only Baahubali 2 can beat Baahubali 1.
Now as Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150 is all set for grand release tomorrow, there’s a sense of euphoria prevailing among Chiru’s fans and family members as Chiru returning to cinema after 9 long years.
While many fans are venting out their euphoria, even Tollywood mega heroes too expressing their excitement. However, Sai Dharam Tej took it to new high stating in his tweet, that it was Baahubali and Non-Baahubali whenever collections and records are mentioned, but from tomorrow it will be Khaidi & Non-Khaidi will exist. This directly implies that Khaidi No. 150 will beat Baahubali records.
This tweet of Sai Dharam tej is sounding over confident and only could turn a target of retweets little later after release. That is obvious that a film need to be more than extraordinary to beat Baahubali.
First Baahubali is far higher, second that was solo big release then unlike Khaidi which is slugging it out with Balayya’s Gautamiputra Satakarni and two other films. Third Chiru is coming back after long gap. When he had quit, he didn’t have Rs 50 Crore grosser as Tollywood itself didn’t have that market then. Also in between Chiru’s political image has had its affect on his film charisma too although it’s debatable.
Keeping all these into account, it’s not cake walk for Chiru to beat Baahubali records. On other hand, stars only keep saying they don’t chase records or no numbers and on other hand they provoke fans like this with statements on records.
Let’s wait and see what’s really in store for Khaidi and whether it could beat Baahubali or not. If it really does definitely everyone should be happy as Tollywood climbs one more step higher. The million dollar question is will Khaidi able to make it?
