Abhinetri got decent hype before the release of the movie with the trio combo of Tamanna, Prabhu Deva and Sonu Sood. Abhinetri is one more addition to the long list of growing horror-comedy genre films, but it is a bit different from typical horror comedy films. However the film failed to keep the audience hooked to their seats with its lagging screenplay.

Story:
Krishna (Prabhu Deva) marries a village belle Devi (Tamanna) and shifts to a new house. He has no clue about the past of that haunted house and hell breaks loose as the ghost of Ruby possesses Devi. Ruby wanted to be an actress but kills herself as she couldn’t pursue her dreams. Ruby sees potential in Devi to fulfill her dreams. She makes a pact with Krishna that she would leave Devi alone if he allows her to complete one film.

Performances:

Characterization of Male Lead is a huge asset for ‘Abhinetri’. Prabhudeva excelled as a helpless husband, generates humor and keeps the audience engaged for most of the time. Although dances weren’t up to his standards, He didn’t disappoint either. The kind of rapport he shares with Tamanna and Sapthagiri shows on the screen.

Tamanna can proudly claim that this is her career-best performance. All the dimensions in her have been explored to the fullest. She excelled as an innocent village belle and actress who aspires to make it big in glamour field. Watching the Milky Beauty is no less than an eye-feast for Youth. When it comes to dance moves, She matched the style, grace and energy of Prabhudeva.

Sonu Sood does what is expected from him without fail. Sapthagiri tickles the funny bone. Pruthvi is alright. Murali Sharma is impressive. Rest of the cast does justice to their roles.
